It is an interactive work of Game Art, composed primarily of a mechatronic 3D print, which acts as a projection mapping (video mapping) surface. The character, represented by a kitsch Latin American plumber from pop culture and the cultural industry, is projected onto the structure. He must navigate the structures and edges of a fragmented system, trying to repair its constant leaks.
The system (perhaps from Contemporary Art), represented by a 3D print scan of the legendary and iconic original urinal used by Marcel Duchamp, has constant cracks and leaks that the worker character will endlessly attempt to repair. In turn, a system of motors and gears moves the position of these printed fragments, modifying the composition of the sculpture and the platforms on which the plumber can move.
The character is an appropriation and intervention of Mario Bros., a legendary icon in the field of video games and the cultural industry. The interaction is achieved with a joystick that is a replica of the original controller for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The work is done with free software for GNU/Linux operating systems.
